I read for pleasure and fun, but mostly I read for research and writing. I have favourite genres (fiction, fantasy, mystery) and some favourite authors. I used to keep my Goodreads account up-to-date so I could track what I was reading, but since starting the PhD process, that has not been happening.
A one-of-a-kind find at the CSSE conference last spring is a favourite purchase.
This book is unique in the way it renders text and images. The author uses unknown and indecipherable text and images to share information that is base on a reality not of this world.
Many of the books I am currently reading are open publications, and/or PDFs of books authored for open education.
