Makerspace - glossary item

In education, makerspaces are generally thought of as places to explore tools, toys, and technologies to create and make innovative designs, inventions, and constructions. These spaces are both physical, located in library or learning commons area, as well as cognitive, described as a maker-mindset. The iterative and collaborative nature of learning is often grounded in the activities provided and constructions generated within a makerspace (Lakehead University Library Research Guide, n.d.).
